Default Rattle when coasting

Hey guys,

just after some advice. I'm getting a rattle (a metallic resonant sorta rattle) when I leave the clutch engaged but with no throttle at about 3000 rpm. It sounds like its coming from the gearbox region.

As soon as I step on the clutch, the noise stops - and it only happens when I'm off the gas. Any application of throttle and the noise stops. The gearbox still feels fine. I'm thinking a bearing of some kind.

Thoughts?

Darren
