Just engine, box/diff have no influence on burning oil.

Can I ask how much oil it is burning?.......Have you had to top it up yet?

Mobil 1 is 5W50...... I use it in my 220,000 km ej207 and I use about 500ml - 750ml over 5000km which is acceptable.

No car burns zero oil.

havnt topped it up since owning it (nearly 1 year). level is still above the dip stick as mentioned. the white smoke on start lasts for about 3sec, its a decent cloud of smoke.

lets say i do get a catch can and the problem is still there. have i wasted my money or are there other advantages of having it on?
