Default RA gear set info

Hey there, my gearbox code 6S TY752VB5CA ra box, im pretty sure its a close ratio box.
We have stripped it today and i have 2 teeth missing from the input shaft everything else seems fine...

I want to get the part ordered but i need to know the full details i know its a v3 or v4 sti ra box but the guy at thr parts dept was pretty rude and would not help me without a chassis no. (which is no use as its an import box)

any help appreciated,

"Widened" is referring to the thickness of the gears not the ratios...Just in case anyone was confused!

can you get me a price for the input shaft i need please mate, wanna get it ordered so i can put her back together.

I wouldn't waste time trying to order anything through the normal channels for that 'box as it never was sold on the local market. (in that ratio in anything)

Ring Steve at Maximums and he should be able to order it in from Japan at a reasonable price. He'll have the right numbers and stuff for the close ratio box.

You should order a driven gear as well, or at the minimum crack test it.

OK cool, i will call him tomorrow.. you said about ordering a driven gear? what do you mean mate?

The driven gear is the opposite side to the mainshaft. It will potentially be cracked from the hammering it got when the tooth broke off it's partner.

so i need to replace 2nd too then, had no issues with synchro's it was still selecting perfectly, think i got off lucky this time..

how much am i looking a for 2nd an input shaft, have you any idea?

i spoke to nick at ASG he didnt seem to think it would be a problem to get parts here, but im guessing you know your stuff as you have always given me good advice.

The mainshaft has 1st and 2nd on it. whichever one you took the teeth off (you didn't say in the thread anywhere) will have potentially weakened the gear it meshes with.
If you took the teeth of second, then the driven side of 1st will be fine to re-use but you should at least get the driven side of second (the one with the synchro dogs on it) crack tested.

Mainshaft is around $400 ish.
Driven gear $220 ish from memory.
