What do you want gauge wise?

Go for 'good brands' like Autometer, APexi, Defi etc

In a rally car or other high vibration situation yes....liquid filled for the win.....

In saying that I have a liquid filled Autometer boost gauge in the STI along with a DEFi triple cluster replacing the dash top box (overkill).

My Gtr has Apexis.

There are HEAPS of different options. Like all mods to your car make sure you
take your time and do research. Something to take into account is
not only what do they look like during the day, but what they light up like.
Do they match the dash..? Do you care... ? Are you going to change the colour
of the standard dash lights (eg, blue).

Hopefully more people post pics of theirs here which might help you
determine what you do and don't like

Defi's.
Very easy read at both day and night, the Defi Link system also makes them easy to install and add to in the future. The warning, peak, and record functions are also quite handy.
Come in a variety of colours to match most dash illumination colours/interior themes.

Personally I prefer electric gauges over mechanical ones, especially when it comes to oil pressure gauges!! A mechanical one needs you to run an oil line in to the car, I have never seen a mechanical oil pressure gauge that had a satisfactory way of securing the oil line.
I also know of someone that had his car burn to the ground after the oil line failed!
