i seem to be having a similar problem with mine when it is in 5th you can feel the gearstick move in and out as you apply and release throttle and then it will very often pop out of gear but only in 5th would anyone know if this is the same issue as described here. and if so how much is it to fix cheers

your shaft nut has probably come loose and dropped off. cheap part but box will need to be dropped to check and fix obviously

As Kiiz said, I had the same symptoms as you and this was the cause, set me back ~$750 to get it repaired.

I continued to drive mine for about 6 months with it happening, from what I can remember what Doug told me was the nut backs off more and more over time and starts to grind against a plastic oil return which starts to leave chunks floating through your gearbox causing machine gun rattling in all gears (did not sound good!).

If the popping out has only just started occurring and you get it fixed ASAP your bill may be less... food for thought I guess.
