Default Car skips a beat...

this may or may not be a problem...i have been going thru the threads searching for similar symptoms...and maybe am just paranoid..

on sunday morning took a drive to freo..no probs..midday i come back and start the car...it skipped a beat (not detonation) and then starts...30 mins later driving off the lights, car skips another beat when shifting to second...the rest of the day was un-eventful...

the car is due of a service, probably happening at the end of the week...so far i have been told that it could only be two things.. fuel lines could be clogged with dirt (also as a result of driving with low fuel levels in the fuel tank).. or water in the fuel filters...those are the only two i knew of anyway...any others....

i know it may be a stupid paranoid question....so let the flaming begin (and hopefuly some help)

Havent taken it to the tune shop since i bought it, the guy that owned it did that just before i bought it..that was about 1200kms ago...i only use BP 98 octane...I rarely drive the car, apart from a quick dash to the gym on some evenings, and short drives on weekends, so i assumed i wouldnt have to service it for while, i check the oil and it looks clean (and new).....had a chat to it with a few mates and theories were flying around about could have caused the hiccups...some were horrifying...some said its nothing....i'll have the spark plugs changed, and the fuel channels cleaned as well when i take it in for service....

I'm hoping it ends there...

Take it on a hills run to clean the cob webs out....... Drive it like it's meant to be driven.

Short hops clag it up with carbon.

Don't thrash it, drive it with some mechanical sympathy.
