Don't forget brands such as DMS & KW - also, given the current strength of the $A vs $USD, you could import a set from the US & potentially save a bomb.

Suggest you also speak to someone like John @ Wheels World and/or the local DMS dealers. Please don't spend 21 minutes choosing $3000 coilovers - also consider the whole suspension package (i.e. swaybars, alignment settings, etc).

The re build cost over a grand from memory, I haven't looked at them for ages but still got the recipt somewhere.
Flex are currently $2,050 US & Street are $1,600 US from Tein.

These won't fit the MY05-07 STi's.

I'm with Fred, do your own research to find suspension to suit your needs. If your already keen on Tein's ask for someone who has them fitted for a drive/ride before you spend money.

I have a set of Prova/Eifel height and dampening adjustable coilovers (japanese) to suit 05-07 STI.

I also have a set of height adjustable H&R coilovers (german) to suit 05-07 STI.

pm me if interested.

I use KW variant 3's in my car, with a few other goodies too. I believe they are much better than many of the more commonly known brands. BUT they were not cheap!

If you can find a set of Group 4's ( Second hand is your only option ) then you will be a very happy camper.

Ride better than stock if you don't crank them right up.

Ive got a set of ohlins PCV... they are a great coilover very pricey though looking at around 5k from memory. but comfortable to drive and mine are set on the hardest dampning.

just adding on to the questions, how legal are coilovers?
I was under the impression that only the Super streets could be complianced for road use. If you have illegal coilovers in your car would this not negate your insurance?

Why would different brands of coilovers be legal and others illegal? If one brand was, i'm sure ALL would be.
