Default guzzling fuel

MY02 bugeye is running way too rich, goes through the better half of a tank a day with a decent amount of driving.

i'm quite sure that the fact the previous owner has put a 3" TBE; and more importantly an atmo BOV, without giving it a tune contributes significantly to the problem.

i've been meaning to get the car verso tuned eventually, which i've also heard fixes excess fuel consumption issues. however i don't have the money or time atm to organize and get one done from ASM.

SO my question is, is there anywhere i can go or anything i can do in the meantime to fix my fuel consumption, without having to bundle it with the whole tune package?

sorry for the huge write up

still shouldn't use that much with those mods, maybe your o2 sensor is dead, that will trick your ecu to thinking its running lean & richen up the fuel mix = poor fuel economy

That would be more than the o2 sensor surely! Checked to see if you have any leaks in your fuel lines? Anyone syphoning fuel out regularly? Get it checked asap because that will be washing your bores and your oil will be way too thin and will cause it to blow! Check your oil!

Could it be something as simple as a dodgy fuel gauge? Have you tried driving around with a jerry can as backup and see if you can go further than the gauge says?

I get 500-550km to a tank and I have a TBE and no tune...
