Default wrx keypad code problems

does anybody else get the same problem with the wrx keypad when you key ur code in to start ur car but it doesn't start. insted when you turn the key everything cuts out n comes back on.

That would be a Brant problem. Try entering in your mastercode if you have one.. If not, ring Subaru up and try to get it off of them.

The Brant is the Keypad security installed in a WRX since 2000 to stop Theft.

There is plenty of Threads on the Brant if you search on this site.

to be straight up with you,they are SHIT mate.i always had problems with mine and so do others.so i got mine taken out and put in a killswitch which only i know where it is.you could also put in a normal immob that would cost you $175 at the most.cheers

Just a FYI... Without a suitable alarm/imobiliser combination your insurance will be null and void.

If you change your stock security system (which is darn good for security) you need to inform your insurer asap.

ive never had any problems with my brant system (my04 wrx). If you were to remove it, make sure you get something decent put in place. Worth the peace of mind
