Yeah, bit of a tough one. When mine goes pop I've obviously got decisions to make. Build a 2.5 which should be able to manage a meager 230ish ( I've always though this would be the ideal power ) or go the 207. Obvioulsy cash is going to be a factor but ease if change over will play a part also.

That was the same 207 after we rebuilt it with new bearings, etc, a fair while later.

Now I have a fresh 207 and injectors (well, I've had that in the car for a couple of years now)

Given the xt's are a few kg heavier than the wrx's I think its a no brainer to go with a 2.5 burke. The extra torque they produce will make it the better engine I think. And a built 2.5 should make more than 230kwatw! My unopened engine is making almost that. *

*I am well aware that this may not last very long, and I don't care. Just gives me an excuse to build a motor for it.

That's the thing, i don't reckon you need anymore. If JMEs going to crack into the 55s with that sort of power, that's GTR35 ( of the showroom floor ) territory driven by very capable drivers so that'll be good enough for me.
As far as weight I but the bus on the scales about 6 months ago at Wanners and it came in just shy of 1500kgs with a full tank. I think the JMEs is about 1400 odd??

1450kg

You know how it goes Burke if you can't punt if fast then just put a bigger turbo on it

Twinscroll torque or 2.5L torque. Twinscroll wins.

My excact thinking. 2.0 or 2.5 twinscroll, at the end of it all, there is no replacement for cubes.
