Im fairly new to these forums and don't really know a lot about cars or anything
I have a 98 forry, i was just wondering if there is much in the way of body kits and stuff that are going around for it or that will fit it?
Also looking around to see any other members who may have customized their forrys

Yeah there are a few kits, zerosports etc. Check out www.japanparts.com there's heaps of stuff on there. Alot of WRX mechanical stuff fits our cars too.

It's a 98GX or LX NA Foz, I'd be using that money elsewhere infact
if it was me I'd be popping into STechnic and talking to Doug about
one of the JAP spec Foz halfcuts he has at the moment and dump
one of those in.

As far as I can tell the '99 Forester GT is basically a WRX with a smaller turbo and wussy swaybars. Same engine, mechanicals, etc.

You can fit aftermarket swaybars and a WRX turbo, but I don't know whether a tune is needed if you do the turbo. OzFoz is the place to ask.

Definitley tune to get the best out of the turbo swap.

Only a few mods are available for the non turbos, mainly cosmetic & suspension stuff.

The GT Foresters also run different heads and higher compression from memory.

yeah i got all my bodykit bits from around the traps on the forums, its pretty expensive getting the original plastic sti gear though

I'd suggest making good friends with both Strubaru and apg39 mate, def the most active Foz modification nuts on this forum imo

Okay, thanks. We're currently selling our GT so it's worth having this info to pass on. A number of people have come to see the car but can't understand why a GT is more expensive than a newer GX. "A lot of money for a bonnet scoop" is how one person put it. Groan.
