207 > 257 imho.

Having not driving a 257 powered car tho, its not really a true comparo. 207 + mods however, as youve stated, in a MY99 car... = win.

(1240kg GC vs 1420kg GD stock for stock if my memory serves me right).

EJ207 with bits and pieces, can yield well over 300hp at the treads if given the right treatment. Mine made a smidge over 400hp at the fw, (calc).

Its been done before, and people continue to do it, as it works.
