Default Reving?

Helloo all just a quick question,
I have recently put got a new Jap spec 4.44 Gear box from Doug which i am very happy with.
My car has started too drop idle like when my afm died but not as bad then was driving yesterday and got abit worse and check engine light came on for about 5 seconds and went off, The first time my afm went it was really bad and the car started cuting out hasnt done that this time.
I had the afm rebuilt so its still underwarenty was only about 3 months ago. So just wondering would it be the afm again because i did a search and read rain and pod filter can screw it pretty quick? Doug said i should look around see if anything has came unpluged , I had a quick look but couldnt really see anything nor do i really know what im looking for.
The car is a MY98

EDIT: It drops revs when im pulling up for a stop then when i stop it revs up and down then stops and starts again

Thanks all help appreciated
Matt

Sounds very much like an AFM.
98s usually dont have too much trouble with them.
Where did you get it rebuilt? Didn't know you could rebuild them.

Any idea how i could of broken 2 in like 2-3 months?

A place called ACA over East refurbishes AFM's.. they basically re-solder all the connections and replace any burnt out components.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but I have started noticing that my car also drops down to around 100-300 rpm while I come to a stop (usually while I have the clutch in.) Does this mean that my AFM is dead/dying? The engine has also stalled(?) on a few occasions.

I also noticed that I'm getting pretty crappy kms from my fuel. 320km from about 45L of BP98.

Also car doesn't seem to have as much "oomph" while on boost.
