When you took the afm off to clean did you forget to hook up one of your vacuum hoses? Have a look around for any hoses that dont go anywhere or any spots that look like they should have a hose on them.
also take a pic of the engine bay and up close to the afm so we can see if anything is left off. That would be the best first step.
yeah all the vaccum lines have been connected properly, i replaced all the hard old ones and all are back in the correct order

If you replaced all the turbo lines did you replace the olive on the line near the turbo, if you didn't you'll only boost to 6psi.

wheres the olive wats it look like, im new to the turbo scene and wrx'z

its marked as 'restrictor' in this image, goes between the wastegate line & the turbo compressor outlet

where u showing the restrictor to be is something mines doesnt have, am i suppose to have it?? i undid the vaccum line for the wastegate actuator and hte car boosted up, does that mean the actuator is faulty??

The problem you have is when you replaced the old lines you threw the restrictor pill away, it's a little brass ball with a hole drilled in it that goes in the vacuum tube coming off the turbo, it's only about 3mm across so unless you were looking for it you'd never notice it was missing, if you've still got the old lines have a look in the short one with a 90deg bend in it, if not give doug a call ar STechnic, he may have one laying around and will be able to tell you within seconds if you need it.

cheers for all the help i did find the "olive" in the old line and replaced it into the new lines and all is good
