Default acceleration and idle issues

i have a 99 model wrx and at full acceleration the car almost feels like it shuts off and jerks, slowing down and then putting the clutch in, the idle nearly drops out and stalls.

lol join the club, i've had these exact issues for months. i've replaced the AFM, cleaned the iacv, replaced the 02 sensor and reset the ecu, made no difference. i've finally given up and booked it in to subaru friday week (even they had no idea when i was explaining the problems on the phone), they think they'll probably need the car a couple days to diagnose. Will let you know how i get on,

Don't take it to Subaru they will charge you an arm and a leg and
will probably miss diagnose or fail to find a problem.

Book it into a Subaru specialist workshop that will actually find, fix
and charge you a fair price gor their services.

If your north of the river see MMS or ASG.

South of the river just go see Doug aka DTrally at STecnic
in maddington for a no bullshit and quality sevice.
