thanks for the link phizzle

I may not have been clear enough in what i was saying, sorry.

I have 1 blue boat anchor in the back yard, smashed in the a** end. My motor & box are fine, Im looking for a rolling shell to transplant my good bits into. I wasnt looking at buying a whole new car as I still owe money on this one. The most viable option I have is to swap what IS good on it, into another vehicle, and scrap the rest.

The change from GC to GD chassis cost 200kg in weight but was something like 150% stiffer torsionally which aids handling. So what you lose in power to weight you can gain in some mid corner speed. Conversely, less weight means brakes work so it's a catch 22

Unless the GC shell is VERY cheap I'd look for a GD shell and move everything across to that, saw a pignose today that was bought at auction for $10k (like JME bought), I loved my GC8 but the chassis is 10+ years old and the GD chassis is alot stiffer and better handling wise.

slightly hail damaged piggy n/a for 10500

http://perth.gumtree.com.au/c-Cars-V...AdIdZ224651481

you would end up with a 30k car resale value rather than 20k with a gc8
