They definitely aren't good enough for Barbs but at RAC I can get around with less than a quarter of a tank without issue.

The only way to eliminate fuel surge completely is with an external surge pot and additional pump....

i used to suffer fuel surge at anything less than 3/4s full. So id just run at 100% full to avoid trouble. Since ive fitted the surge pot, i was able to run it with the fuel light on. No worries now.

(last lap of rac was a re-run so didnt have time to top her up, but all other runs i tried to have approx 1/4 tank.)
