Yep that group buy ones are JDM ones with HyperCrap pistons, plus you
don't get any form of warranty incase it has a factory failure and yes it
does happen as recent history has shown.

Boxerbeast,

There are more ADM 207 blocks coming after Nov 1. Get in line...

Because "someone...................................." may have snaffled the last one going around. (And I dont mean me).

207's will suffice up to 400hp + (ath) as a good guide, (yes I realise some are getting more), so this is enough for most people. (Given the right fuel, air, management, ancillaries etc).

And as Tino's car has shown though, great results ARE capable with 257's... just be prepared to pay... and then pay, and pay some more. For most people, a drive in-drive out 207 swap would suffice.

Brent.

Thanks for the advice Brent, I think I've made up my mind as to what I'm going to do now. Scrap my 257 and back down to the 207

My EJ205's seem to be stronger than people running 2.5L's.

My ej207 has 245,000 km on it & I'm running 1.7 bar......

Reliability is a non issue if looked after.

Warm it up properly, cool it down & treat it with a little mechanical sympathy.

2 of my Rs libs were well over 300,000 km when sold.

Waiting for my 207 to die.......

Yep another 207 here just about to hit 100k mark/service and been runing 1.7 bar since day i got it.
Only down side I think is maybe turbo lag is slighly more in the 2L compared to 2.5.
