Im looking at buying a MY98 wrx, owner says the motor is a bit tired and might need replacin...
It dont burn oil or smoke...
car has 150 000kms hasnt been driven for ages..
Well the whole 3 years he has had it he has hardly driven it that the battery always goes flat...

If the motor is not buring oil. could it be plugs timing or other to make him say that???

My mate told me he doesnt drive it and hates paying rego for it.. but is to lazy to sell it...
so i just rang him and got him down from 6k to 3.5....

See if you can get it lower and drop a eBay block in it

Why not get it checked over by a workshop? If its not burning oil, doesn't have any knocking sounds or rattles and get the compression checked, should be alright. Would be checking condition of gearbox oil too.

If it sounds too good to be true...Then it probably is.

$3.5k is cheaper than a 92 rs liberty with 300,000 km on it.
