body has been resprayed 18inch wheels, lowered, 3inch catback. Just the roof has gone white and he says motor is tired, doesnt blow out smoke, and gearbox/clutch are fine...
Im only buying it as a daily.....
I wont thrash it till ive serviced it and got to the bottom of tired motor..
what PSI should i expect from each cylinder???
Would you guys recomend all genuine fluids, oil filter and plugs...
Ill prob put a pod to get a bit of turbo noise, oiled pod ok or dry??
Turbo wise ive got a spare R33 t25BB the bolt pattern is different on manifold isnt it??
Ive got a few turbo bits lying around that i was gonna stick in my Honda, but i might use some on the wrx i think...
As i said Rossco he wanted 5 to 6k for it original. i only new that i could push him as low as 3.5k cause my mate told me he wanted to get rid of it and would sell it cheap....

Unless you can spot anything on it that looks suss, best to get it checked over by someone you trust mechanically.

There are always good deals to be had out there that are priced to get it out of their driveway for that specific reason.

Seems like the going price lately as I paid $2k for the 98 Club Spec
Evo 2 I got the other week and the guy even paid the rego out of
that $2k. (does need a little work but what a bargain)

Bit of piston slap when its cold.... once it warms up its fine....
136000 kms on it....
goes ok too... interior is perfect bucket seats front and rear...
18s and firm suspencion....
Mate came with me we drove it, and he was like if u dont buy it i will....

yeah just go with rxqme and get RAC to check it out or even a workshop if the obvious are fine you will most likely have maybe a few issues. i mean..
i payed 13k for my 97 WRX clubspec and 160,000k's guy was asain and knew nothing about the car, he thought you put petrol in the oil, even when the cap says. "Oil"

it had zero oil in the car when we saw it. got him to fill it up and throw a new battery and boom ran fine

just get a few tests or rock up with someone who knows whats going on.

compresion check,, what PSI should i get...
ill put some new oild and filter and new plugs, and might fit a K & N filter on maybe...

Maybe worth having a chat to Doug 'Stechnic on site', rather then going to the RAC, as I'm sure he'll give you a more unbiased, and thorough review.
