Came across this helpful thread when I was doing all the homework.

Highly recommend sleeving the block if you are doing a full rebuild.


Here are the results thanks to Nic from ASG.

Sleeved Ej257 Semi closed deck




Only a few the goodies but there is heaps more and haven't gone through the rest of the pics.

Got the gtx35r kit to be made up, surge tank to go on, fmic + piping, vipec v88 to be wired up and a few other things before it's ready. In a few weeks hopefully.

My short motor is done and I am just waiting for Nic to have time to install it now.

Nick is doing everything and Sean will be doing his magic on the tuning.
Being the very first ej257 running a gtx35r from ASG, results are unknown at the moment but will be interesting to see what it makes on U98 than 116.

Can't recommend enough the customer service from ASG, top guys to deal with and have always been there to help even when they are flat out with work.

Looks like the beginning of 2013 will be a good year, couple of sleeved 257's getting around.
