I guess the 2.1 would be a stronger set up.

I believe that the 2.1 will make respectable (enough) power and have a longer life expectancy than a 2.5.

2.5's can be built strong, like Tino's but at huge expense.

^^Tend to agree, I would hate to think what Tino's cost to build, but it is a masterpiece.

Don't have the funds, well I do, but not the war office (wife) approval.

Thanks for the feedback.

Will do, Rossco's thread got my juices flowing, it's what made me decide to do it all again after I sold you all the other set-up I had.

I've decided to go for the closed deck 2.1 option (Same as yours), I sourced the crank from the USA brand new for just over $500 AUD delivered, got the ARP head studs, hopefully Rossco can hook me up with a full gasket set and new water pump

Will get Kelford 264, 10.5mm lift cams, if Prospeed hurries up with my special price!!

As a side note this same set-up on Jim's (Bluestar Subaru) but with normal cams made 226kw and 398nm at the wheels on 1.3 bar of boost...

cheers

I ended up getting the kelford 264's but just went direct as needed them asap. Got a bit of a steal for them as well. Will be interesting to see the difference of yours, mine and Ross' when they're all done.

I'm building a 2.1L soon just waiting for parts to be ship in from the U.S. my goal to build this 2.1 to get 280-300kw within long life term and stock ecu flash. Better than buying ej257 stock motor.... wasting money/time. Been there, done that. End of the day is all about $$
