Nothing special to brag about a 2.5 block with cosworth pistons and rods. As Tino stated that's not a built engine, we are talking about a sleeved block, built heads with all the fruit etc etc. My engine build is no where near as Tino's but will withstand the power because it is being built properly with a lot of homework done prior and yet still adding parts to the build list because I don't want to have the engine out again to put something in that I want now.
Tino's set a great example of how well a built engine can perform and many will stand by that.

Just a bit rich ( see what I did there ) having a crack at a guy who has gone out and given their car some berries and just because they don't get their hands dirty or do a heap of research rather than rely on someone elses knowledge ( usaully someone in the industry and actually does it for a living rather than be an internet specialist )

Not everyone can be fucked researching the depths of the world looking for the next best thing.

I presume the point of handing over a cheque to an expert is so you dont need to spent years googling the best thing... only to then pay the expert to build you or fit the part he should have known about anyhow.

p.s not having a go at anyone in here. except burke, what would you know

Burke u homo misread what you wrote..

Not having a crack at all.. If i was having a crack i wouldnt have bothered replying in the first place. Hes trying to say he has a built motor and wants to push huge hp through it.. Im trying to save him blowing up his expensive heads that hes going to buy with a bottom end that would not be able to take it in the end.. I had a similar build with 11mm headstuds that pulled the block and heads apart at 579whp trying to push big boost.. It destroyed my whole 20K+ engine..

Steve would have built the engine for a particular goal in mind and not huge hp as everyone knows the the standard sleeves are not capable of holding together at big boost..

Tom it all depends on what the specialist is building.. Tell me how many builders in perth are capable and have the experience of building and holding together huge HP subaru engines... This will answer whos a specialist or not...

Of course - hence why TK and Al ended up doing your stuff.

The point wasnt whether part had experts, it was about finding one and trusting them.
