If in doubt, probably best to just replace it. For around $150 you can get a new walbro and you have peice of mind that its all good.

Good advice,
You will need to do this anyway if you are going to mod.

Symptoms could be the car spluttering, doesn't accelerate as it should do, sort of like the car is bunny hoping or no go when foot is planted.

Another symptom would be the car doesn't start :-)

Best way to check is to put a fuel pressure gauge and watch the gauge, if pressure drops when driving then its either your fuel pump, wiring to the pump itself or your fpr (fuel pressure regulator). Pressure should be round about 40psi unless you've got a adjustable fpr then could be whatever you've set it to.

Can you describe us your problem? Could be easier to diag!

Paul

i think i may have the same problem, i purchased a 2nd hand walbro pump, which was stupid and i should have just got a new one. Anyway when i am in a higher gear, 4th 5th or 6th on the freeway and put my foot down to overtake it seems to sputter, similar feeling to bunny hopping with a shitty take off. Other than that 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear when i put my foot down seems fine. I first thought it was clutch slip but have definitely ruled it out and seems to be the fuel pump, same as your problem

Car shuts off sometimes at traffic lights. Start car up, revs to 1500 then shuts off again with engine light on.

After 4th or 5th start it starts fine and off i go.

Also another problem it sometimes shuts down as if i lose all power so i lift foot of accelerator and put it back on it starts driving fine
Again.

What could cause these problems, engine is fine because i
Bought it off tiddy, AFM is brand new.

I have these mods:

3" TBE
FMIC
pod filter

I run a profec B greddy boost controller with stock turbo
Stock injectors

And thats actually it im pretty sure unless im having a blank

If engine light has come on get the codes extracted. May even be stored under history codes instead of current!

Not as such, to find fuel problems it is best to hook up a fuel gauge and monitor the readings!
