It's amazing, a proper launch should feel like it's detaching your retina.. I was shocked when I first got it right lol!

Btw, I'm not saying I'm some psycho wannabe F&F racer, I'd just like to not look like an idiot when I get smashed at cruises.
You can look like an idiot even if you win.

Launches are easy - select first, foot flat to floor, pump throttle a couple of times, then lift foot cleanly of clutch in one quick motion.

If you have enough power that will be a ton of fun

You must be doing something wrong, My foz is fairly stock and iv never been beaten by a skyline or commonwhore, Except a psycho 34 gtr once, I agree with the driver training option, You will learn heaps, Also maybe get a CAI, zorst and a tune to.

Exhaust, filter, VF34 (or the like), injectors, pump and tune will net you 260-290hp atw. Driven well, that makes a high 12 second car...
Again, driven well, a 12 second car will punish most other cars on the road.
You're never going to have the fastest car on the road. Ever. Deal with it.
Out of curiosity, how did these commodores go around corners? If you wanted a car that's fast in a straight line, why did you buy a wrx??

Dude.. going 120 around a round about is idiotic anyway.. I wouldn't be worried about looking like one.. I think he'll look a lot dumber trying to untangle his car from a power pole. Those are the people you let go.. don't try and keep up.

I was just about to write that... "He will look like an idiot when hes written off the car or being chased by the Po Po."

Yeah I'll definitely need to go on some performance courses being a P-plater. Only thing stopping me is finding a cheap helmet (nothing in comparison to spending 7g on mods but still lol). I usually 'launch control' by holding a foot on brake and other on accel holding at 4-5000 and then smashing it and shifting at 5-6000 afterwards (tiptronic).
Is there a better way?

Manaul bleed valve, fuel cut defender, 21psi. = Destroy all from the lights. Cheap to! Dont need a tune, thats only if you are racing at the track!
