Just wondering whether it is worth modifying an MY04 Stock WRX or whether I should sell it for a GTR or something. Had a couple of cruises on the weekend and normally I can beat most ppl I find on the road.
However, on those cruises I got smashed by multiple cars (would have no idea if they are massively modified or what?) including v8 commodores, some Audi and virtually every antilag car I came across.

I was thinking getting a tune, exhaust done and adj coilovers but is it really going to make that much difference or should I get something else?

Antilag guys usually have some pretty modified cars.

I dont condone street racing but if you were into that sort of thing... it comes down to budget.

As the saying goes, how fast did you want to spend?

Skylines are Over-rated. No matter what the car, you will still end up in the same situation ready to burn a hole in your pocket.

If you enjoy your WRX, then modify it to your liking.

OH Also, dont worry about the commodore hoons, thats how they compensate for small penis's.

LOL.. also down to how you drive.. I think before any modding learn to drive your car properly.

I've seen a number of WRX driver training days advertised on here.. I suggest you go on one.. not saying you're a crap driver, but it's amazing what you'll learn once you have lessons etc.

Decent gear changes and a good launch will serve you well :-) Or learn to drive in a 1971 VW beetle and a WRX feels like a rocket ship haha. Dude you should be faster off the lights than a v8 commonwhore.. especially an auto ;-)

I am a horrid Manual driver atm, but I already learned some things on the weekend, and I feel like I am doing better. My next thing Id like to learn is proper launches.

Haha, yeah the commos weren't off the lights but he did 120 around a roundabout without sliding and then smashed me from there.

Btw, I'm not saying I'm some psycho wannabe F&F racer, I'd just like to not look like an idiot when I get smashed at cruises.
