What I mean by 'creeping' is where it feels like it slightly progresses (picture a stepping feeling in speed), so when you have your foot on the accelerator in one position it has a jerky increase in speed feel rather than a smooth progressive feel. It doesn't kangaroo hop or anything like that, but I just find it annoying as hell.
Its not natural as non of my other cars do it, hence why I'm assuming it's some sort of sensor. I'll fit my new AFM today anyways and see if it's linked at all, but the AFM sensor was replaced around 8 months ago and like I mentioned, the car doesn't display the usual AFM issues.

im having the same problem, when cruising in slow moving traffic (10-40kmph, 1st and second gear).... seems to be getting worse as well, to the point where id say it almost is "kangaroo hopping", there is no smooth progression of speed at all and its getting really uncomfortable to drive. also when i go to accelerate (traffic clears for instance) its quite often a "lumpy" acceleration for a second or 2. im thinking AFM or some sort of sensor, or maybe a misfire???

any ideas anyone? i know very little about what causes faults on these cars. Mine has been really well serviced by the 2 previous owners so im hoping its not something thats been neglected in a service.

I'll backpeddle on my previous statement and confirm that a new AFM made no difference :/ It definately happens for me when the car is cold and tends to 'get better' the longer I drive it.

Unscrewed, I'm going to get my car checked out next week when I'm back from work so I'll update if we find something.

Have you noticed whether it's when the car is cold? I always noticed a similar thing with my MY99 when it was cold, and my XR6T does it too when its cold.

Kinda like a gentle surging feeling? I think it's gotta just be a thing on turbo cars when cold as it goes away once its warmed up after 5-10 mins.

Could be your AFM, but it also could be, correct me if I'm wrong, engine mounts. At low speeds car can be very uncomfortable on low throttle where it is not smooth but bunny hops as well as on off throttle.
I need to change my mounts soon I think, and need to find someone with a working AFM to test as I have this creeping acceleration as well.
