Alex they're GD coils.

You can order them online via the FK-0186 part number.
Be careful of ebay - I was scammed twice. First time no coils ever arrived, second time I was sent used coils.

(avoid the Black FK-0140 coils - the plug boot is too short)

Cheers for the info Ross. Are the FK0186 COP's universal across the whole GD range? I was just going to pick them up through JapanParts, and I think I've found the correct ones but it gives me two options based on what model GD you have, and I don't know much regarding GD shapes. As per the link you can pick either A-B or C-G. Which one is it, or are they the same?

Cheers

Okay... So my COP's turned up today and they are not the grey FK0186 that I was expecting but a black topped FK0333 12V instead.

Are these a replacement model or are they not going to work for my purposes? Kinda bummed when I opened them up and they were different.

EDIT: This website states the FK0333 replaces the FK0186. Any confirmation?

And the PN on the box 22433AA561 is apparently for 02-04 2.0L WRX... I'm so confused.

The only difference will be the rubber spark plug boot.

If it's too short it won't reach the plug. Try them they might be fine - if not I have a set of the grey boots here that you are welcome to have.

N.B the boots just pop off the coil.

All good Ross, the boot length was my first thought, but according to my verniers they are the same length as the FK0186, so I decided "what the hell" and installed them. So far all good!
