Well, i took my STI into Evo R on wednesday to get a new clutch in, as i was fairly sure i shattered the clutch.

With a couple of small setbacks, Mao put the new clutch in no dramas (also noticed alot of rust and corrosion on the waterpipe and around the turbo dump)

As it got off the hoist and started her up, it was rattling heaps from 1st to 2nd, and also in reverse, the whole car was shaking and you could visibly see the wheels move back and forth.

The clutch runs fine after 2nd gear, but we spent a good hour trying to find out the source of the problem. We lifted up the bonnet and drove the car foward, the intercooler and engine block were rattling around heaps as it moved.

Mao had a couple ideas on what it could be : Diff,engline mounds, cv joints, or the flywheel.

They will look at the car again asap monday to source out the problem. On a brighter note, i was very impressed with their friendly service/advice etc so far from the clutch, and would reccomend them to PWRX members
