Oil outlet of head to turbo gallery, Injector equivalency tables.
Good morning,
Can anyone please take a photo for me, I'm searching on the back of the RH head to find the gallery for the oil outlet that goes to inlet gallery of the turbo. Unfortunately my service manual doesn't have this part, only has the piece on the water fed oil cooler underneath. Also, I am chasing a page or table on the EJ18/EJ20 Injectors. Hoping someone here will have one, I can't find any on google or on here. I'm wanting to know if the WRX EJ20 injectors will fit into my EJ18 ( same impedence/Feed). I have found the wiring diagram for the ECU which is a bonus though. Thanks Pete. |

Are you talking bout the oil hose from the head to the turbo on the driver's side?
We are doing Supafly's car at the moment and there is a massive leak from there. I called Subaru Parts today in Welspool and it took them half an hour to locate it on their computer as there was no part number listed on their screen. They however followed up with a part number after contacting the eastern states. Excellent service I would say. Dump pipe and up-pipe has to be removed to access this very common leak. It usually leaks onto the hot turbo pipes and smoke up from there when you drive. I have taken a pic of the new hose fitted. Regards, Mao/ Evo R Quote:

Thanks for the replies.
it seems my oil gallery is there, there's a bolt in the hole, but i took it out, and it has a casting behind it, so i guess it can't be used, unless i drop the head off and tap it out. |

If its a WRX head, there shouldn't be any need to touch it, it will be fine, the galleries are quite small, otherwise there would be no oil pressure.

Wouldnt suggest you play around with the injectors without an aftermarket ecu.

Nah it's an EJ18. I was considering bunging on a TD04 using the complete WRX system as it fits on my heads, but I've come across the problem of changing over Crossmember which i am definitely not keen on.
Thanks for all ther replies, I'll just on sell the car now, i've had my good few years out of it. Pete. |
