I've test fitted 18x9 +25 wheels they fit in pretty flush, so I don't see why this wouldn't fit with in the guards?

What size tyres are you planning on using? I was using 245/40 tyres on a 18/8.5 +40 Rota SVN on my betty STi. They fitted ok. I scored a set of 255/40 ad08's very cheap so I fitted them and that's when the issues started.

My rear guards are rolled and I have plenty of camber, I had to trim the inside corners of the bumper with a stanley knife and they still scrub occasionally.

Anyway good luck keen to pics when you get them on.

I have seen 18x8.5 (+30) fit with rolled rear guards, minor front inner guard adjustment and 225's. Unless your running a tall ride height you will have guard and tyres meeting frequently.

I'm going to use 235/40

Will need to roll the guards and run a bit of camber with tein coilovers.

I'm getting mixed messages
Some saying 521 18x8.5 +25 will clear brembos but others have said it won't clear .
A guy is running +35 on his GC8 with brembos and he says it cleared his easily

Why the fuck are you talking about gc8 fitment when you asked for advice on fitment to an 05sti?

Who the fuck is psa?

Relax guys. Yes, whatever silly size you are looking at will fit. Also, your buddy Rhys is correct. They will fit a GC8, and that means it will fit all other models. So you should most definitely buy them.
nick73, Dan [GTI] and Ashbak like this.

Wheel size and offset are not as important as design. Two wheels with the same offset and size but differing designs might not both clear Brembos. Great example is 17X9(+45) Enkei RPF1's and 17X9(+45) Wedssport TC105N's. The RPF1's with a flatter face and lip WONT clear the brakes but the TC105N's with a more curved face DO clear the brakes.

Blindly asking about sizes and offsets is a guide, not as definitive as asking someone with the rims want.

"Fit" is a subjective term. Yours is perfect, no tyre stretch or stance camber required.

Some rim companies will have a template you can down load and print so you can check if brake clearance will be close or not. (And aftermarket brake companies sometimes do the same.)

It night be worthwhile emailing the rim manufacturer or retailer and asking if such a resource exists.
