Slots are there to remove brake debris and gases from the pads hitting the rotor. A quality slotted rotor should be better than a OEM rotor. For a street car hitting 3 laps of a circuit... Doubt 90% of us would notice the difference of a rotor compared to pad compound, fluids etc.

A quality rotor should also have heat markings on them, but no one ever looks at them either.

I disagree, do 3 good laps of collie with Ferodo 2000's or oem pads and 5 year old stock fluid. By the third lap you would rather have blocks of wood as brake pads.

That said the OP is after info on street use.. in which case - you probably won't notice :P

Read again jesterlol... I said rotor compared to pad. I'd rather have 3000's with fresh fluids on OEM rotors than stock pads, old fluid and bling rotors.

Ah I read that the wrong way. Roger.

Anyway, OP is probably trolling posts so s/he can sell something.
