Default Squeeky noise when driving

Hi All,

The car is MY99 WRX.
Just last night all of a sudden the car started making a weird squeeky noise. Noise is similar to an old bed just very loud.
It happens when taking of, going over even minor bumps in the road. I tried shaking the car when it's stationary, as I thought might be springs or something but I cannot get it to squeek.
I know this is hard to diagnose over the net, but just thought to ask on the forums, but I will be taking it to a mechanic as soon as possible (need a day off from work).
This is the reason I missed CMR cruise today, and soooo not happy about it but just couldn't risk it as it does not sound good.
Would engine mounts make this kind of noise if worn out?
The noise is not constant like a slipping belt but just when going over bumps, taking off etc.
If anyone can think of anything I can try it would be great. Thanks,

Adi

just figured out that when the car is completely cold it won't do it. Once I've warmed it up it will. And then I can make is squeek even when it's off. Sounds like the exhaust or something is fouling on something else. Need to take it into a workshop so it can be raised and checked. Doesn't seem that it's the sway bar links though, but cannot discount that

*update*
The car starts making noise only after a few minutes (guess once it warms up).
Decided to give the exhaust a wiggle under the car while warm and it squeeked.
As I changed my exhaust about a month ago, I used silicon based lubricant so most probably it's that.
Now, will it go away, or how can I remove that lubricant so I can apply water based one?
I might just need to buy new exhaust hangers.

Probs the hangers. The silicon should have burnt off quite quickly with the heat.

Just an update:
The squeeky noise was due to the missing bolt on one of the exhaust hangers (that connects at the bottom to the hanger off of the gearbox). That bolt fell out and it was metal-on-metal squeeking.
Also replaced the front and rear stay bushings with Kartboy items...was expecting more of a change from them. I guess mine were just still in a good condition. The rear one was a pain.
