Looks like teeth to me ... synchros are normally brassy coloured arent they?

Yeah, taht doesn't look good at all.
A subaru service manager mate of mine told me that due to g-box design, it is best to make sure that the car is still when selecting reverse and to make sure that its either stopped or moving forward 'slowly' when engaging first.

He said most boxes get trashed by people too eager to take off after reversing out and hitting first when still moving backwards.

I drained my gearbox oil today and found all this stuck to the drain plug



Do ya think its okay??
