Default Pod Filter Help!

Im guessing yous have all probably done these yourself from time to time so just need some help. Tryna fit a pod filter onto a GC8. Is it just as simple as plug off, plug in? Also i noticed plug ins that go into the standard filter box which im assuming is some sort of sensor, how or do these connect to the pod filter pipe.
Cheers guys

Your car won't run well (if at all) with that long intake and no tune.

You will need an adapter to go from the airflow meter to a silicone joiner then on to your in guard filter piping.

P.s your motor will run lean with a long Intake & no tune, don't say you weren't warned....

just unbolt the afm housing from the factory airbox & get an apexi powerintake pod filter & bolt to the afm housing, they also come with brackets to hold it in place, great bit of kit, the 99 ecu will handle this filter with no retune & it won't foul you afm as they are a dry pod

Yep the power intake alloy adapter funnels the airflow directly at the afm helping to prevent it running lean.

Apexi intake is a good option with no tune.

Im assuming from you pic that there is a hole for the AFM which in that case you need too undo the screws to your afm and place it in the piping. However like the other side if you want a CAI you need a tune.

If that is the hole for the AFM what a sh*t spot to place one!

^^looks more like a bugeye one to me, the 99gc8 ones bolt to the existing afm housing via a flange & 4 bolts like the aps cai

they are also larger in dia than the bugeye ones
