How much oil should there be in the intercooler and the big pipes that go into/out of it??

I took my intercooler off last night and there were small traces of oil in the the intercooler itself and also in the those big pipes. Is that normal or should it be completely dry???

Yeah, a small coating of oil in the intercooler is normal. Sometimes there will be a small pool formed of oil in there too. As long as its only a teaspoon of oil, then its OK.

I have just a small thin coating. Nothing like a teaspoon worth of pooled oil. Do you think I need to get a catch can or would it be overkill considering the small amount of oil I have in there.

I do and have done many sprint events at the RAC and Barbs although I dont go to Barbs anymore. What do ya reckon??
