i sort of understand what you are trying to say...sort of :P

if your after this - as far as im aware RaceTorque and Maximum Motorsports are the only ecutek tuners and dealers in WA ff the top of my head its about 1400 with dyno time and well worth it

Nah, Maximum Motorsport do it - Steve Wisby (R.I.P) used to do it before he passed recently. Maximum as far as im aware, are currently trying to get around this with an ecutek rep... working temporarily until they are trained up in the software otherwise RaceTorque are also linsencees of the software as well, Thru MRT
BTW have dealt with Brett Middleton from MRT and his customer service is beyond fantastic... there R&D program there for the current models is great and most of the research i have done for my wrx is from him through maximum.

WHat year model ECU do you want to put into what year model car?
Forget anything 06 onwards going into anything earlier. Its all drive by wire and requires a different throttle body, accelerator pedal, and even manifold I think. SO need to know what year is going into what, it may be cheaper to just buy aftermarket and get it tuned.

Do you know what ECU is in your car?
Seeing as it has the early WRX engine in it, you may find it is already running a WRX ECU. Best to put your head under the dash and confirm what you have first. |

If you have a gen 1 liberty then I would suggest to find a v2 sti ecu.. This is a very common upgrade if you don't want to go aftermarket but want more power.

THIS!!
Do you want more power or that "smooth" feeling? if you want the smooth feeling, just stay with the ecu you have...you "could" put a different ecu in, but everything would need re-pinning or a patch loom made up, and in my opinion, this is too much of a fuck around, especially for the sake of smoothness...actually it's not worth it at all
