Am I right in saying these pads ONLY come standard on 08+ STIs? If so, take it to one of the two STI authorised dealers in Perth, Subaru Ossy Park, or City Subaru. They should know what they're doing. Might still charge you I guess, but I'd also guess they'd get to the bottom of it quicker?

Edit: Sorry just read your post properly, you're going to City Subaru already...

I don't mind paying them to sort it out. Just hoping that they can. When I spoke to Brant the other day he told me the prices that he could supply the various components. Will be investing to see what City charge on top.

I just want it fixed so that I can enjoy the car.

I stuck my head in the MY12 Sti and it doesn't have the keypad on the dash like mine does. It is possible that it is located in a different location.

I must say a big kudos to Mao at Evolution R. He took the time to call me back and give me his guidance.

Fuck that. If you're hell bent on having a pin code for starting the vehicle then just rip the fucker out and put an aftermarket system in there ASAP. You will spend the same amount of money trying to get Subaru to faff around with a product that really is not reliable. Waste of time.

Checked the inside of the fuse cover on the right side of the steering wheel?

Lol, what?

How the fuck does changing the injectors cause a problem with the immobiliser?

That's where mine is down by your right knee...

I heard that they were hidden down there. Can't imagine that is practical.

Does anyone know a good alarm place that could sort out my alarm or install something that will solve the problem? I am afraid that City are going to cost me over $500 without providing a good solution.

They are hidden when not used and relocated to a more practical location when enabled.
This is what I was told when I got the 08 and 11.

I might almost be able to start an alarm blog.....

Today I went out early to see what kind of mood the alarm would be in.... Must have been too early as it refused to light up the keypad. I tried locking and re-arming as well as checking hand brake affect and also multiple code input. Nothing.

So I locked the car and went back inside for an hour.

Back outside again and the car started as normal (for any other Sti).

Today I am going to check out some alarm shops.
