im going with a catback from ultrex and i got a quote from stechnic saying they'll install it for a fee of $330 at least... (3hrs minimum) ... is this the avg price for workshops around here? seems a bit pricey to just fit a catback exhaust...

yes, seems very steep for 1/2hrs work.

Very steep.

Try and find a mate who has some tools and some jack stands.
Carton or two of his favourite beer and you should be set

Hardest part would be getting the current exhaust off the hangers
