Default Buying a sti. modification suggestions?

Hi guys,

Havent really posted or used PWX before, but anyways.. i just sold my 1999 wrx, so in the market for a 04/05 sti.

Found one im keen on and is pretty much bone stock except for;

-full TBE
-pod filter
-Lowered suspension
-And was recently dyno tuned at ASG , pushing 271 hpAtw. (which i thought was good quite for stock boost and stock turbo ??)

So ive worked out my finances so i have about 4k to play with. so was just wanting some suggestions as to wat i cud do to push more power out of her (hopefully 300hpatw) with the 4k i have to play with.

Thanks for any input and suggestions!

sounds like it's got a verso tune

get a bigger IC, bigger turbo, bigger injectors and a re-tune.. more fuel, more air = more power!

That, and lots of stickers. Each sticker is worth 10hp.

This car has 11ty million horse powers:

Seriously though. What Kym has said would be a pretty good start.

4K will get you started along the way. I don't know if it would get you there.

Buy car, drive for a few months, figure out what you don't like about it, search on forums for what options people are taking to remedy the issue(s).

You never know, the car could be perfect, or only need slight changes.

You wont be able to utilise 300hp on the streets so perhaps increasing response and handling would be better options?
seagull and drewgong like this.

Save the 4k for maintenance, do a service, change major fluids etc etc

As above, wait a few months before dropping more coin on mods.

I don't know about that, a certian TRexxx needed all 1,000,000hp he had to evade Polair..

A STi tuned to 271 should be more than enough for a fair while, invest $4k in handling and braking mods = major winnage.

1000 foot antenna adds 1HP for each foot. But in all seriousness, who makes the rear diffuser? I must have it. lol
