Default How much power will TD0X-XX make? Here's a Chart that might help

Just found this whilst poking around the interwebz - I haven't seen it posted here before.

Interesting to see a chart showing the power ranges the different TD0x's will support & showing the different compressor wheel combinations available i.e 16G or 18G etc.

It was produced by Kinugawa originally so I can't vouch for it's accuracy.

Looks reasonably accurate especially considering the range.
I'm on a TD05-16G and 192kW atw @20psi.

Do they state if that chart is flywheel kW or atw?

It would be 'potential' KW at the flywheel.

Needs a lag chart with it also to really make your mind up, but i guess would be very hard to make considering supporting mods, cams etc are going to bring that figure down...

Chart looks pretty good though, cheers rossco

Confuses me a bit, a TD05H 16g,18g,20g all produce the same 294? What am I missing.. We're talking different compressor wheels yeah? Excuse my lack of knowledge in this area.. Haven't got stuck into the googling yet..

From what I am looking at they have different max powers... 16G < 18G < 20G... how I read it.

EDIT: did you mean TD06 (16G, 18G, 20G) VS TD05 (16G, 18G, 20G) are the same?

I believe that the reason you don't see the smaller area turbine housings in twin scroll is because of the extra physical space the divider takes up. Of course the goal of going twin scroll is to speed up the spool but with the smaller area housings the twin-scroll turbos just seem to choke far too much up top.

So as a very approximate estimate, a 8cm^2 twin scroll housing has roughly the same area as a 7cm^2 single scroll housing. A lot of people trying to get the best of both worlds go for a 10cm^2 twin-scroll housing, retain almost the same spool as a 7cm^2 single-scroll turbo but gain noticably increased top end. These are mostly cars in the US so 2.5s, if you've got a 2.0L maybe the 8cm^2 would be the best fit.

There is a Twin Scroll 18G.. and it has a billet wheel

also those Kinguawa charts are for their turbos only. They cant be compared to other brands of TD series turbos be it Blouch, CBRD, Tomei or FP..

The wheels design on them will determine what the flow rate and power it can do.
eg the Flow rate, Power band and spool of a 18G Blouch will be far better then a Kingauwa 20G turbo..
