Default Replaceing Cam cover / rocket cover gasket??

Hello all, Well this is my first post.. have been doing alot of reading on here.. and found most of my answers with out the need to post. I'm not new to working on cars. But this will be the first job for my 97 GC8E EJ20G. There is oil leaking out the bottom of the cam / rocket covers. So i presume i just replace the seals and everybody will be happy. This has to be done to pass a road worthy test. This might sound like a stupid question. But is there enough room in the engine bay without removing the engine to replace the cam / rocket cover gaskets? I have not worked on my WRX engine yet.. so didn't know if there is any like long bolts in that area that may cause issues. I thought i would ask here first. Thanks for any help, :-) Tim.

Remove airbox and washer bottle. I also drop the exhaust manifolds so I can get better purchase on the lower rocker cover bolts and can better clean the mating surface, though that's seen as uncool around here. Use some blue RTV and allow it to cure for 24hrs. Take your time. Easy job but if you rush it you may be doing it again sooner than you want.

I did the RH cover on the w/e. Pretty easy job. Each to their own I guess.
Used all Subaru gaskets. main gasket, spark plug socket seals and bolt seals.

No need to remove the exhaust manifold to get to them

I always like to use a bit of ultra grey or black on the seal and also around the bolt seals. You will find a lot of mechanics do that, because they are so prone to leak.
