Dropped oil metal through it and started it and turned it off straight away sounded so sick he said

Either put a 2nd hand ej205 block in...and either wait for it to pop again/sell it...

Or spend some coin and put a new ej207 in, and enjoy the piece of mind!

Get your mechanic or STechnic to give you a quote for each then go from there.

Na doubt I'll be getting a 205 block don't want it to happen again, just need to work out how much I want to spend :/

Isn't that the 2.5l block ? I'm not up on my Wrx engine lingo so unsure if it is what I'm looking for or not :/

The 257 is the 2.5L STi block, and from what I've seen, generally costs more to make 'reliable'. Off the top of my head, I can't really name many members who have run one without significant spending.

What sort of costs looking at for a 207 short block ? And are the different types that are stronger etc
