Default evo7 club spec suspected big end failure

sad to say but my wrx is fucked to say the least

would be lucky to have driven 500kms on it, warmed it up cooled it down. car was mechanically tested and everything was fine had it 8 days

driving along roe hwy went back to 3rd gear to about 4500-5000rpm when i put the power down had a massive boost spike, so i put into 5th and putted along at about 80 and could a faint ticking sound like a fan so we pulled over, couldnt see anything wrong car sounded as normal.

decided to nurse it home anyway took off and it came back so shift at 2000rpm to baby it home made it about 2kms then it slowly got louder and more constant. as i slowed down to pull over revs started jumping all over the place and the car was making knocking sounds and the sound of metal was breaking or grinding.

so basically im a giant fucking sad panda right now because ive had a car for 8 days havent pushed it all the hard really and its fucked, its now sitting at my mechanic waiting to get the bad news

Sounds like you've dok'd ur motor... Buy an sti bottom end for $2500 and profit. Suggest Blue Star or STechnic or ASG to do the work, depending who's closer / cheaper or what ever.

You did it your self..... You over worked the stock motor!! It's not a tuning problem, engine problem, boost spike.... It's the way you drove it.
