lol precocious... get a dictionary before trying to use big words. If you bought a car/BOV to "be noticed", don't come crying here when a cop slaps a canary on your windscreen. I think the majority of people on this forum purchased their WRX for the drivability and fun factor, not so Joe Public in the street looks at them and says "oooer, he/she is driving a WRX". *hardon*

Sorry, wasn't aware the fun factor depreciated in later models. Also, I don't give a fuck what people think about my car. Possibly a similar attitude to bugeye owners?

WTF is wrong with you people? Heaven forbid I don't know everything about everything and thought I'd do the right thing and ask for some help on what is supposed to be a forum for like minded people. But you are all so busy with your dicks up your own asses trying to be cool and judge everyone else. I bought a WRX because I like the look of them, I love their features and I love the way they drive. I apologise profusely to all you Subaru Gods out there for having bought my car with a BOV already fitted, and then having the audacity to try and do some research on it. Fcuk the sound it makes, if there is something on my car that isn't working then I want to know why and what I can do to fix it. Thanks for wasting my time.

I bought mine purely for towing the boat couldn't get traction on the ramp with the commodore. And lets face it my BOV sounds heaps sick as i pull the boat out the water.

Wrecks, don't be too precious (not 'precocious'). It's a public forum and there is always going to be:
* piss taking/shit giving
* opinions
* trolling

as you can see from mARC giving me the shits. If you can soldier through it all, you will see even the regulars aren't exempt

As for the problem, if the BOV was jammed open/closed you'd know, if a hose/pipe has blown or is leaking substantially you'd know.
If it's jammed closed and you've continued revving the motor hard trying to get the BOV to sound you may have done some damage to the turbo as the compressed air has nowhere to go when you lift off the throttle but backwards through the turbo.
If it's jammed open or has a substantial leak somewhere you would likely notice a lack of boost when driving.
If you can't figure out what's wrong take it to a Subaru performance workshop like STechnic, ASG etc they'll likely diagnose the problem straight away.
