Default Redline light shockproof change frequency

Hi, everyone,

I did some research on using redline light shockproof in STI tranny. Some people says it is bad for the oil pump in 6MT, others mansions it's a great oil as long as you change it every 10k~15k. What are you experts' opinions? How about heavy shockproof in diff?

Thanks in advance
Gordon

Redline recommend changing the oils "4 times as often as the manufacturers recommended service intervals".

Reminds me, I need to buy some MT 90

I changed mine at about 50,000 and it came out fine, I'd be a bit worried about a workshop or individual who doesn't give the box at least a full work day to drain the old oil out as Smurf Blood doesn't like mixing with old oil residue.

Edit: mine is a 4.44 5 speed

+1. That's what I heard, it's great for 5MT, but it kills 6MT. So that's true?

I ran it once, gearbox broke in 2 weeks.

Definitely the oils fault.

PFFFFFT, I've hammered the fuck out of mine and wouldn't recommend anything else, but I treat boxes with a bit of respect, I also put it in my hi/lo Lib box behind a turbo and it was great but each to their own.
