craw3r, sounds like u know what to do.

I did the whole whiteline gear setup but getting coilovers installed and
set up by EVO R did alot more to improve handling than the bars etc.

VF43 wont gain much in hp by pushing much more boost than 18-19 psi

id say daves leading you to disaster. a bigger turbo sounds like a bad idea with stock internals.. keep it below 300hp or kiss it goodbye in no time

never said i was going to upgrade the turbo...but im curious as to whats needed to get it to 300hp, sean at asg seem's to think the engines are able to handle 300 horses :/ so as a tuner i would think his pretty confident in saying that...but i understand where your coming from too....so many different opinions out there
I'll take your box, wheels and intercooler after you dok dok bang :-P

Do 07 and 08 STI have similar internal? If so, 300+ would be dangerous if you push it all the time, BUT it all depends on how hard you drive every day.

I still think if you have coilover, F24/R22 seaybar would be enough.

In all honesty, speak with Sean then and get him to guide you on how to get there.

But FWIW, the VF43 and VF52 are pretty similar sized snails, so I'm guessing 300 is not beyond reach, although my engine was slightly different but essentially the same.
I got there with PW TMIC, ceramic coated EL headers and up-pipe, 3" TBE, 2.4" turbo inlet pipe, 1000cc injectors and a CAI on my 2012 internally stock.

Now to throw a cat amongst the pigeons, word is that United Petroleum are going to stock E85 on pump around May this year, so if you switch to that (possibly need bigger injectors and fuel pump) and get re-tuned on E85, you'll probably hit +300hpatw.

But again, speak with your tuner......

I had UEL headers amongst some other mods on my (previous) '06 STI and they did make a difference....standard turbo and ECUTek tune... I put a post about the various comparisons up on this forum late last year, so perhaps if you search you might find it.
