Hey guys,

My friend is upgrading to a bigger turbo and intercooler and says i can have his stock STI setup. Its an 2008 STI and i was wondering if his turbo and intercooler would fit my 02 bug wrx? also what would be a fair price for them both? they have seen 60,000kms and in good cond.

Prob will but I may be wrong, or it will cost you an arm and a leg to custom fab stuff to make it fit. 01 -07 will fit no problem at all 08+ is another story

I'm pretty sure I've seen an 08 STI cooler go into a GC somewhere. Might have been on here... Jester? If you can get one to physically fit into a GC then I can't see why not into a bug.

Yes it will fit, you will need the mounting brackets as its wider you will also need to either buy the of set clutch master cylinder or find a way to move it clear

more room in bugeye engine bay due to intake manifold design, so if it fits gc8, should fit bugeye

the extra size puts it right over the turbo though, i'd recommend a turbo beanie to negate the heatsoak resulting

i'm not sure on the whole y-pipe side of things, or the tubo

should slot right into a bugeye with the correct brackets for the intercooler
manifolds have same mounting positions

^ WHS. The 08 is one of the largest STi I/C's IIRC. You may want to consider the usual injectors & fuel pump combo too for maximum hammerage.

i wondering if i put the bigger turbo on, will it put alot more strain on the engine? its only a wrx moter and wont handle the extra power aswell as the sti moter. is it wise?
