Default tune or headers?

Hey guys,

So i had the turbo back exhaust for my MY11 hatch finished today and now deciding whether to save for the tune or spend the money on headers and uppipe and get the tune abit later.

I've also heard not too go for a cold/RAM intake just yet.. perhaps just upgrade the filter to a K&N filter?

I can be abit clueless to this stuff so please excuse the scoobie-noobie.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks!
-Sam

You should do tune before anything else - if not already to match the exhaust.

Do it at same time as headers at the least.

Do mechanics not advise people to do this when fitting Turbo back exhausts? Would have thought it would help cover them should the engine go pop!

Don't drive this thing hard until you get it tuned.. It will have shit fuel economy, probably not drive the best, could throw a CEL and could go snap crackle and pop.

Then when you get headers later your retune cost will be less anyway. Or scrape the barrel now and get headers at the same time as the tune.

Okay so tune it straight away, I'll have to get that organised. In that case, any recommendations? I've been told to look into allstar garage. Anybody got any other suggestions?

ALLSTAR, Maximum Motorsport, Evolution R... Look at the workshop thread for a list.

Search the forum for reviews and prices people have paid. Then call places figure details and prices. Get tune...
