Same for any fuel in the world is it not?

Pete - United 98 is straight 98, no ethanol mix.

This is exactly how all pump fuels are made.
They're all a blend created from different products at the refinery.
Products containing ethanol are no different.

edit. Now I'm agreeing with tj.I must be wrong!

Agreed, however, I'd have more faith in a product that is high turnover versus an alternative fuel that is known for being hygroscopic with a shorter shelf life.

A thread on consistency here - E85 United testing

Another suggesting its mixed on site at the stations E85 FAIL which suggested the e85 was closer to E50.

Hmmm i thought they had two "blends" according to their website..

Ultimate 98 - Normal fuel
Ultimate 98 with ethanol- Normal fuel + 10%.

Do i need to change my glasses?

Head over the antilag and have a read - all the guys who are testing are getting 78-85 which is pretty good for out the pump.

Also given they wont carry as much stock their supply is going to be fresh.

And thats why I've posted all the info about what model Subarus can use it...Did you really think that United had non Ethanol 100 octane fuel HAHAHA
you might want to check what you wrote again...

I never said P100 does not have ethanol I basically said E10 is shit for turbo vehicles

E10 is a blend of 91 octane REGULAR UNLEADED and 10% ethanol - Yes subi's can use it but I wouldn't run it in my subi...

P100 which is on a separate pump physically at the united servo and separate information sheet... yes it has ethanol also like your E10 but P100 a much higher octane rating being 90% PREMIUM UNLEADED

(read below from the website)

Premium 100 is a high performance fuel containing ethanol with an OCTANE OF 100 - the highest rating available in the Australian market. Ethanol is a natural octane enhancer - adding 10% ethanol to petrol boosts its octane number and its performance. Ethanol helps the other components in petrol burn more completely. It also has a cleaning effect on the cars fuel system. Premium 100 will give your car more zip!

therefore E10 is not P100

Dave I'm not against E85 but I'm heeding the warnings given by tuners regarding it's consistency.

With an E-Flex gauge measuring and adjusting tune I'm sure it would be great.

Like I said above, I'll wait for extreme types like you to go through the hassles and then see if it's truly a viable option.
